ANDREW NAGODE

Andrew has a vast amount of teaching experience and has previously taught at ice skating academies in Colorado and Delaware. Throughout his career, he completed 6 trips to the US National Figure Skating Championships through the junior division and trained under multiple Olympic level coaches. He enjoys teaching all levels of skating, specializing in beginner, adult, and freestyle.  Andrew emphasizes goal setting and positive re-enforcement to help his students reach their full potential. Currently Andrew attends the Catholic University of America and hopes to go to law school after he completes his undergraduate degree. LTS USA Instructor #1653835

 

Anna Elyse

ANNA-ELYSE SCHWABACHER

Anna-Elyse, is a recent graduate from the University of South Carolina, she spent her childhood training as a competitive figure skater. She skated with the Washington Figure Skating Club for 10 years, volunteered with skating programs teaching children with disabilities, and coached basic skills classes as a member of the Professional Skaters Association. She tested up through the intermediate level of Free Skate and Moves In The Field, and still hopes to pursue her Senior moves test. Elizabeth Lynn Burst


ELIZABETH LYNN BURST

Elizabeth has over 8 years of competitive figure skating experience. She has achieved gold level in moves in the field and pre-gold in ice dance. At Miami University of Ohio, Elizabeth skated for the open collegiate synchronized skating team. She possesses five years of coaching experience at the Kettler Capitals Iceplex ranging from summer camps to adult lessons. She is available to teach private lessons to all skaters and levels, from beginner though advanced. LTS USA Instructor #1660751

 

 

Emma Sacks


EMMA SACKS

Emma Sacks has over 15 years of figure skating and coaching experience. She graduated from the University of Michigan, where she was a collegiate national medalist and sectional champion in synchronized skating, and was the recipient of both the Ice Skating Institute’s Educational Award and the United Stated Figure Skating Association’s Academic Scholarship. Emma teaches all levels of skating, from beginner to advanced, and has coached students in both English and Spanish. She believes skating is a great platform to learn about determination, confidence and other life skills. She sits on the alumni board of Figure Skating in Harlem and volunteers with the Kids on Ice program in Anacostia. Emma holds a graduate degree in public health and, when she isn’t skating, works at the Pediatric AIDS Foundation.  LTS USA Instructor #1413964

 

Jackie Yin



JACKIE YIN

I'm a sophomore at George Mason University. I've been figure skating for 7 years and teaching for over a year. This is my second year teaching at Sculpture Garden and I love working with all age levels and groups! I am great with beginners and adults and can teach basic skills and figure skating. Aislinn Kane

AISLINN KANE

My name comes from Celtic/Irish origins, so it's actually pronounced "ash-linn" even though there's no "H"! It's super funky, but I love it. I am 17 years old and I have been figure skating since I was 9. Recently, I placed first at the Falling Leaves competition in Richmond, Virginia. I am on the intermediate moves in the field level and the juvenile freestyle level. I adore working with children and I love figure skating. Emma Sanches


EMMA SANCHES

Emma Sanchez is an honor student at the Field School.  She has been a competitive figure skater for 10 years, and will be competing at the novice level this season. She participated in the 2016 U.S. Figure Skating’s Jump On It! Camp at the USFS Olympic Training Center in Colorado. She also participated in the  2015 U.S. Figure Skating’s Program Components Camp in Chicago. Last year she was a volunteer instructor at the Sculpture Garden Learn to Skate lessons and she looks forward to another great season as a Junior Coach. LTS USA Instructor #L1655127

 

Katherine Detter


KATHERINE DETTER

Katherine Detter is a junior at McLean High School and has been on the ice for most of her life. She began skating at age 3 at Fairfax Ice Arena, and won the first competition she entered at age 6. Katherine joined the Washington Figure Skating Club and competed locally and regionally. She has passed Moves in the Field and Ice Dancing through U.S. Figure Skating. Katherine volunteers with Virginia Special Olympics where she works with people of all ages who have disabilities to figure skate. Together they work on the basics, moves in the field, skills, and a routine to perform at the end of the season. In addition to skating, Katherine is a cheerleader for her high school and a coxswain on her school's crew team.  LTS USA Instructor #1661305

Isabelle Hendricks

ISABELLE HENDRICKS

Isabella started ice skating at the age of 4 years old, in Learn to Skate group lessons. Soon after, she took up figure skating as a serious pursuit. She has competed in numerous competitions through out the east coast including Washington Figure Skating Club and United States Figure Skating Regional events. She has tested up to the Intermediate level in freestyle and the Novice level in MIF.  After a short break, she has returned to the rink with a renewed passion for figure skating. She is looking forward to volunteering at the Sculpture Garden this season and is great with small children!  LTS USA Instructor #1655444
